Fees & the bursary fund

We're a not-for-profit, so our fees stay as low as we can make them — and when even that is too much, our bursary fund is there to help.

The bursary fund

Money should never be the reason you don't get help

That belief is why the centre exists. The bursary fund — supported by the donations we receive — means that when money is tight, counselling stays within reach. Bursary support is offered when funds are available.

  • Up to £15 off every session, for up to 12 sessions — up to £180 of support in total.
  • One application per client, so the fund can help as many people as possible.
  • Apply through your counsellor. Just tell them money is a worry — they'll take it from there.
  • Supported by donations — help given by the community, for the community.

There's no awkward conversation to dread. Our counsellors have these chats all the time, and they'll treat yours with the same care as everything else you share.

More ways we can help

If the numbers still don't add up

The bursary isn't the only route. Depending on your situation, one of these might be the answer.

Sponsorship

An employer, church, family member or friend can pay for some or all of someone's counselling. Email us and we'll send you a simple sponsorship agreement form.

Donations

The bursary fund relies on the donations we receive — the more we receive, the more people we can help. You can also donate to the general running of the centre. Email us if you'd like to donate.

The practical bits. Sessions run for 50 minutes to an hour, weekly, in person or online (couples sessions are face-to-face at the centre). Payment is by bank transfer — your counsellor will give you the details. Session hours: Mon–Thu 9am–7:30pm, Fri 9am–3pm.

Don't let the cost decide for you

Talk to us first. Between the bursary and sponsorship, there's almost always a way to make counselling work.

Calls answered Monday and Tuesday evenings — otherwise, please email.
